An Aimless Odyssey

What's in it for me? I chose to blog when I realised its uses. Before going to its uses let me share the general blog dynamics with you. I am keying them down after observing the general blogging trends followed by several of my friends who blog.

1) I think (no I believe :D) I am a good writer. I write. I publish (internet offers free viewings and the ensuing free publicity). I tell few friends. They read. They comment. I visit my blog a thousand times a day. When I do this for few tens of thousands of times myself, you can find my blog on google.
2) Then its the self fulfilling prophecy at its heights. People casually visit my blog to see if I have written anything new (how good or bad it is). But I never realise, they never read what I write. Its something like the way you brush in the morning. Before you come to your senses you are done. (I always tried to consciously enjoy by morning tooth brushing. But could never remember it in the morning... More about such exciting blogs later). But you still brush. So you involuntarily open my page.
3) The cycle goes on... till another reader_cum_non-blogger (like myself_few_moments_ago) gets inpired and sets his finger into this this fancy blogging pie.

Now that we have learnt a lot about blog mechanics, let us learn about the advantages of blogging.
1) I can be bold on a blog. Through blogging I can shy away from my inertia to say things in person to people. Just blog to be bold. So, the first lesson is - if you are shy, start blogging.
2) I can gorge my yearning for a compliment, by reading your comments. If the comment is positive, I am happy that I have a fan. If I the comment is negative, My options are doubled: First, I reply your comment to induce you to comment more. Second, if I dont udnerstand your comment, I am at least happy - you have read my blog :-). Second lesson - Sate your cravings for a compliment.
3) You can induce others to read your blogs or at least open your page. Then you can start communicating with them in a surrepititous manner. It is for only those for whom it is meant. These are dedicated blogs. Lesson three - One-One function in disguise.


The last use is the best use. You can even propose to a girl in this manner. Trust me. People have tried this avenue too :D.

Ok whats the next step? I am going to search my blog name on google... I have kept some targets too. I am going to open this page 100 times tomorrow. Will tell my friends to do it too.
